Postecoglou on squad rotation, the 'road to success' and Romero
Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou has insisted squad rotation will be key to his team's success this season.
The Australian coach has made no secret of his desire to use his entire squad this season, and he has already made wholesale changes to his team for both the Premier Sports Cup and Champions League qualifiers.
And speaking ahead of Celtic's Premiership opener against Aberdeen on Sunday, Postecoglou reiterated his belief that rotation will be crucial to his team's chances of success.
"I think it's really important that we have a squad that we can rotate," he said. "We've got a lot of games coming up, and we're going to need to use everyone in the squad if we're going to be successful."
Postecoglou also spoke about the 'road to success' for Celtic this season.
The Hoops boss has set his team a target of winning the league title, and he believes that squad rotation will be essential to achieving that goal.
"The road to success is never easy," he said. "There will be bumps along the way, but we're determined to get there.
"We've got a lot of quality in this squad, and I believe that if we can stay fit and healthy, we can achieve anything we set our minds to."
Finally, Postecoglou spoke about new signing Cristian Romero.
The Argentine defender joined Celtic from Atalanta on a season-long loan deal last week, and Postecoglou is excited about what he can bring to the team.
"Cristian is a fantastic player," he said. "He's a great defender, and he's also very good on the ball.
"I'm really looking forward to working with him, and I believe that he can be a key player for us this season."
