Frederick Steeplechasers Hosts 39th Annual Market Street Mile

Non-Profit Running Club Promotes Fitness and Athletic Development

Frederick, MD—The Frederick Steeplechasers Running Club recently hosted the 39th running of the Market Street Mile, a popular annual event in the Frederick running community.

Founded in 1975, the Frederick Steeplechasers is a volunteer-based non-profit running club with a mission to promote running for fitness, friendship, and athletic development in the Frederick area. The club organizes various activities throughout the year, including weekly pub runs at local breweries and pubs.

The Market Street Mile is a one-mile race that attracts runners of all ages and abilities. The race is held on a closed course in downtown Frederick and features a scenic route along historic Market Street. This year's race saw over 800 participants and raised funds for local charities.
