Brian Denis Cox CBE, born on June 1, 1946, hails from Dundee, Scotland. He received classical training in Shakespearean theatre at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA).

Stage and Screen Career

Cox is renowned for his leading performances on stage and screen. He has graced Broadway with roles in "Hamlet" and "King Lear." On the silver screen, he gained recognition for his portrayal of Hannibal Lecter in "Manhunter" (1986). He also starred in "Rob Roy" (1995), "Braveheart" (1995), and "The Long Kiss Goodnight" (1996).
