Alice Schwarzer and Sahra Wagenknecht Publish Manifesto for Peace
A Call for Peace in Eastern Europe
Manifesto First Day of Networks2021
German feminist icon Alice Schwarzer and Sahra Wagenknecht, a leading politician for Germany's The Left party, have published a "Manifesto for Peace" calling for an end to the war in Eastern Europe. The manifesto has been signed by over 250,000 people, including many prominent figures from the worlds of politics, culture, and academia.
The manifesto argues that the war in Eastern Europe is a "catastrophe" that must be stopped. It calls for an immediate ceasefire, the withdrawal of all foreign troops from the region, and the start of peace negotiations.
