WEB Sevilla Beat Liverpool 3-1 to Win UEFA Europa League
2023-24 Europa League Final to be Held in Dublin
WEB Sevilla claimed the UEFA Europa League title with a 3-1 victory over Liverpool in the final.
The Spanish side took an early lead through Coke before Daniel Sturridge equalized for Liverpool. However, Sevilla struck twice more through Kevin Gameiro and Wissam Ben Yedder to secure the victory.
The win gives Sevilla their sixth Europa League title, moving them one ahead of Liverpool in the all-time standings. It is also their third major trophy in the last four seasons, having also won the Copa del Rey in 2016 and 2018.
For Liverpool, it was a disappointing end to their season. The Reds had been hoping to win their first major trophy under Jurgen Klopp, but they came up short in the final.
The 2023-24 Europa League final will be held at Dublin Arena on 22 May 2024. The winners of the competition will gain a place in the 2024-25 UEFA Champions League.
