Overview
The 2016 African Nations Championship (CHAN) was the fourth edition of the men's football competition. The tournament was held in Rwanda from January 16 to February 7, 2016, and was organized by the Confederation of African Football (CAF).
Results
The Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) won the tournament, defeating Mali 3-0 in the final. Cameroon finished third, while Ivory Coast was fourth.
Group Stage
The 16 participating teams were divided into four groups of four teams each. The top two teams from each group advanced to the knockout stage.
Knockout Stage
The knockout stage consisted of quarterfinals, semifinals, and a final. The quarterfinals were played on February 1 and 2, the semifinals on February 4, and the final on February 7.
