The 26th edition of the African Men's Handball Championship, held from January 17 to 27, 2024 in Egypt, concluded with Egypt emerging victorious. The tournament served dual purposes, not only crowning the continental champions but also acting as a qualifying event for the 2025 World Men's Handball Championship and the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, France.

In a thrilling final match, the hosts overpowered Algeria 29-21, securing their ninth African title. Egypt's dominance throughout the tournament was evident, as they displayed impressive teamwork and skillful execution. Their victory not only solidified their status as African handball powerhouses but also earned them a direct berth to the World Championship and the Olympics.

Apart from Egypt, four other nations clinched qualification for the World Championship. Tunisia, Morocco, Angola, and Cameroon finished in the top five positions, securing their places in the global competition.
